Opening sequence
Combat in a village. Rebel forces (GU, GB and Leader are shown here) destroying EX forces stationed there. They destroy a radio comms base within the village.
Scene change
GB: command log 01 first command log as the resistance has only rose to power a few days ago. The group in the first village started moving to other villages, and they took out other EX forces and convinced the residents to join. They took over the surrounding area, which made themselves known to the EX. cinematic shots of combat in the other villages.
End opening sequence
Sequence 2
Minister calls for a meeting with his generals (GC and GM) about the uprising of ‘The Resistance’. GC and GM say that they will get on plans to erase the RE forces.
Scene change
GC and GM are discussing plans in the command room with BZ, and other high ranking people. BZ offers to send a platoon to the area to destroy the forces. BZ is actually joining the RE.
Scene change
BZ and a small platoon approach the village, and are told to stand down. BZ says that they are here to join the Resistance, and GB thanks them. BZ says that he will be in contact soon enough.
Scene change
GC, GM, BZ and others have another meeting days after, talking about how BZ failed to take down the RE forces. BZ says that they underestimated their firepower, and were forced to retreat, also saying that the RE forces were far more organized than anticipated. “We were lucky to not lose as many men in this mission.”
Scene change
GB: command log 18. Talking about how it is lucky that BZ is helping out. It makes things a lot easier. Forces have increased from a half-thousand to thousands because of BZ.
Sequence 2 End
Sequence 3
The resistance stage an assault on an EX base, and successfully take it from the EX. With this victory, they gain support from the surrounding settlements, as they have been oppressed for far too long, and happily join the RE. GU makes a passionate speech broadcasted across the nation after the battle, stating that the RE will destroy the EX, and will end the ‘reign of terror’ that the Minister has had in place for far too long. Minister is pissed...
Scene change
The minister orders GC and GM to mobilize forces immediately. GC and GM comply. Minister broadcasts to the nation a speech that he will destroy the rebel scum.
Scene change
GB: command log 35. I just saw the ministers speech. Mobilizing RE forces to start taking over more land, and gain support from other settlements. Probably only have days before major conflict occurs.
Sequence 3 End
Sequence 4
The first major battle of the war. EX forces (LR is here) move to take back the base. They nearly succeed, when BZ moves in with his forces and kills LR because he would end up telling the higher-ups about BZ betrayal. (essentially my final animation battle, but better.) GU nearly gets killed in an explosion, but is saved just in time by BZ and his forces.
Scene change.
GB: command log 52. Wish that GU wasn’t so reckless. Lucky that BZ got there in time. GU is in intensive care. The first major battle was a win, thanks to BZ, and forces are mobilizing to push further.
Sequence 4 End
Sequence 5
Covert operations to destroy supplies within an EX supply depot. Special Forces Leader, Major Hurton, leads the operation, successfully eliminating some EX forces and placing charges on the supplies. When they leave the area, they get to a vantage point, and set off the ‘fireworks’
Scene change
GB: command log 91. GU is almost fully recovered. Optical bionics replaced his left eye, which was unable to heal. The covert operation went smoothly, and RE forces will soon push forward to take over the area.
Sequence 5 End.
Sequence 6
Other country military contact the RE forces and ask for a meeting to discuss plans to join the war. The Leader, GU and GB attend the meeting, and are introduced to the other generals. (making characters later). They discuss war plans, and the country military agree to help out the RE. The country declare war on the EX in a speech.
Scene change
GB: command log 117. The country has agreed to help out us in destroying the EX forces. This of course means that we have a better chance of success in taking down the minister.
Sequence 6 End.
Sequence 7
Stealth Bombers from the country military launch a surprise attack on a EX airbase, destroying huge amounts of vehicles. RE forces push forward to take down the remaining EX forces, and claim the airbase as their own, allowing aircraft to land here once cleanup has happened.
Scene change
GU, GB, Leader and BZ meeting where they discuss the next plans. BZ says that he will get a team to infiltrate an EX ammo plant and hack into the drone infrastructure, allowing for ammo supplies to be sent to the RE instead of EX.
Sequence 7 End.
Sequence 8
BZ infiltrates the ammo plant with a team. They take down the guards in and around the plant, and head to the control room. They get halfway across the walkway, and are ambushed, leaving only BZ standing. The control room door opens, and the minister walks out “I’ve been expecting you, BZ.” the minister then offers mercy if BZ rejoins the EX. BZ says no, and the minister chuckles, before saying “well, i’ll be seeing you in hell, Zyler.” minister then blows up the walkway, and BZ falls, but not before shooting the minister.
Scene fade.
Scene change
GB: command log 165. No contact from BZ, and we have not been getting supplies. GB believes that BZ is dead. Due to the low amount of supplies, the resistance were pushed back a bit, losing some land. The EX are almost to the airfield.
Sequence 8 End.

Sequence 9
Battle for the airbase. EX almost take it, but are ambushed by BZ’s forces. BZ is here, and GU and GB are in shock that he is still alive. They successfully eliminate the EX forces, and the EX are surrounded, and are forced to surrender.
Scene change
Minister is revealed to be nearly dead, and his body has had to undergo bionic transformation. GM and GC are next to Minister, and Minister tells them to do anything it takes to destroy the RE. GM and GC comply.
Scene change
GB: command log 187. I don’t know how zyler managed to survive, but were lucky that he came in time, or the airbase would of been lost. Forces are building up to take a city over. This will be the biggest battle so far.
Sequence 9 End.
Sequence 10
Bombers destroy major parts of the defense system in the city. Forces push forward to take over. GU and BZ are tasked with taking down the jammer in the city. They get to it, and disable it, then contact command.

Scene fade.

The Setup:
Leader wakes up, bright light. Has flashbacks to being killed by minister. He asks where he is and it’s revealed that he is a machine, and is asked a few questions about his identity for tests. He immediately asks what happened, and the scientists explain what happened in the few years after the civil war, and that his generals are currently captured in a camp. Leader gears up to get his generals back.
The Opportunity:
Leader heads to camp where his former generals, Uvwe and Becker, are captured. He sneaks in with his cloaking abilities, kills a guard and retrieves the keycard to unlock the cells. The freed prisoners start an overthrow of the forces stationed in the camp, and they win. Leader gives a speech to the freed prisoners, and they form ‘The Resistance of Estaybia.’
The New Situation:
Minister is told about the uprising, and that they have successfully taken the constituency of Parlygrad. Minister orders for a force to be sent to there to quell the rebels. GM and GC comply.
Leader, EK, GU and GB are in a control room, discussing some plans. L and EK are chill with each other, cracking a few jokes. EK is called by a soldier to sort out something, and she leaves. GU teases L that L has a crush on EK, which L denies, and orders GU to quit being silly. RE successfully defeat the EX forces sent for defence, but Leader was shot in the arm, and requires repairing by EK.
The Minister orders GB and GC for a defensive line to be created to hold off the RE.
Change of Plans:
EK and Leader stay connected as Leader is recovering, and enjoy time together, which makes Leader and Kaley develop romantic feelings for each other.
RE push forward, and are met by heavy EX defenses. They realise that there is an EX defensive line. RE forces are forced to retreat, and GU gets nearly killed in an explosion, but is saved by Leader teleporting over to him. Leader takes GUs shield, and overcharges it to provide the necessary defense, which nearly drains him. Leader teleports with GU back to base, where he receives medical attention. EK gets over to Leader, and takes him to her workshop.
EK ‘scolds’ Leader for going out there, and they have an argument. Leader says that he needed to help, and EK says that she was worried about him. Leader asks why, and EK admits that she cares about him, and they both reveal feelings to each other. Leader gives permission for EK to call him Alex, and EK is unsure at first, but agrees to it and is flattered.
Progress:
Rakjuvic Military have a meeting with the RE to discuss war plans, and they plan out how to get past the blockade and defeat the minister. They send out MH (part of RM special ops) to destroy a major supply depot, and once it is destroyed, they push forward to the capital, destroying the weakened EX forces and getting through the blockade.
The Point of No-Return:
Minister contacts Leader, GU and GB, and offers them a choice: Give up and give control back to the Minister for mercy, or die. Leader, GU and GB say no, and the Minister tells them that they best be prepared for destruction.
Leader is in his room, when shots go off outside. He gets up and attempts to assist the bases soldiers, but is shot by an EX soldier operating a TEML gun, and his vision fades. He wakes up in an electromagnetic confinement cell, and the Minister taunts him. Leader accidentally reveals to the Minister in a rage that he is the king, and the minister seems not to care, before leaving and instructing his scientists and engineers to find out how the robot works.
GU, GB find out about the base being attacked, and that the Leader was taken, and EK is devastated. GB and GU comfort her, and tells her that they will get Leader back.
Complications and Higher Stakes:
Minister shows off the Battlestation, which is nearly constructed, to Leader, and he realises that it will be the end of the RE if they get it up and running. He asks how they constructed it, and the Minister says that under his command, the majority of engineers and scientists were tasked with completing it, using vast resources to construct it. Even though Leader though it was too ambitious.
RE and RM push to the capital, and destroy the outer defense systems. Leader escapes after a power shortage when the defense systems are destroyed. Minister orders for the Battlestation to be released.
The Major Setback:
The Battlestation is released alongside EX troops, and pushes back the RE and RM forces from the city. The two militaries lose a substantial amount of soldiers, and call for an urgent meeting. Leader manages to get to them, and reveals that the Battlestation was a secret project that was tasked by him back when he ruled, however he believed that it would never be completed, as the tech and engineering was far too advanced for the time. They all realise the dire situation that they are in.
The Final Push:
The RE and RM forces push forward in a last attempt to destroy the battlestation. Air forces target defenses on the battlestation, whilst RE forces storm the station, killing EX forces. Leader, GB, GU and MH get onto the battlestation, and get to the control room, where GC is. They have a small fight, and GC is shot. In his dying breaths, he calls for the killswitch to be activated, and the Minister responds in accordance.
Minister appears on screen and tells them that they (the resistance) have failed. He says that the battlestations fusion reactor is currently overloading, and that it will blow up, destroying a large area in a huge explosion, meaning an end to all RE forces around the Battlestation. Leader teleports with GB, GU and MH to the main deck.
The Climax:
Minister encases Leader, GU, GB and others in a dome shield with him, saying that it was just like he planned. Minister reveals himself, and Kaley is being held hostage by Minister. Minister reveals that he had gotten kaley to create the cybernetic enhancements as well as the mech suit, to make him stronger than the Leader. MH is behind some cover, and takes a shot at the Minister’s head, only to find it blocked by a shield.
Minister says that he is going to have a good last fight, and fires at RE forces, Huge ‘boss battle’ ensues. Leader, GU and GB work out that they have to destroy the generators situated on the Ministers mech suit, before shooting at him, destroying all critical systems.
Minister, in a last desperate attempt, uses the reserve energy within the mechs fusion cells to fire a beam, which hits Leader, knocking him back, and destroying a major part of his chassis. Kaley falls from the minister’s grasp, and is saved by Leaders drones. The dome shield is disabled after all the power is used.
Leader shouts out in pain, and gu/gb run over to him. Leader tells them to carry him, as he cannot move. They do. Leader orders them to move over to the minister. Leader tells minister that he cannot die, as he has a lot of prison time to serve, and he grabs the minister. Everyone teleports as far as Leader can, which isn’t far enough. The battlestation explodes, and in reflex, GU puts up his shield.
Explosion engulfs them, and soldiers don’t know if they survived. The smoke clears, and the shield is up, with them all alive. Transports move in and get them back to base.

The Aftermath:
Leader is up at the palace balcony with Kaley, GU and GB behind them, whilst everyone celebrates down below. Leader gives description of what happened after they won. Cinematic Scenes.

FMP Production:

The first models that I created were the tanks. I made two tanks; Resistance Light Tank and EX Light Tank. I firstly created low poly models of them, which were modeled to fit my designs.
I then created the higher poly designs by simply using the bevel tool on the pieces. This added more polygons and made the model higher quality.
After this, I textured the tanks in their respective colours. I chose bright/vibrant greens for the Resistance Tank, whilst the EX tank was more darker and with a greater difference in the two colours.
The next models I created were of the soldiers. I used low poly spheres to create most of the model, changing the shape for different parts, such as the arms, torso and head. I took the head, duplicated it, and removed some faces before expanding it slightly to create a simple helmet. The low poly models were then ready for further development.
After creating the low poly models, I beveled them like before to add more faces, and just like with the tanks, I textured them. The troops had the respective colouring to match them to their tanks, so the Resistance troop had greens, whilst the EX troop had the same dark/light palette as its respective tank.
The models that I created next were the remaining cast. I took the EX troop model and changed around the face, adding facial hair etc. to create the model for General Clark. I then adapted this model to create General Miller. Both of them have the exact same body, with the only difference being their facial hair and hair colour. I created the model for the Minister, which was the same as the two generals, but without most of the body armor. He also had on a suit as well.
I then got on to creating my Uvwe model. I took my resistance troop model, and adapted it by adding on more armor. I also created boots, as well as juggernaut armor for the model. I added onto the helmet by including a visor, radio and camera/light.
After creating all the character models, I decided to create the weapons that they would wield. I needed to create an assault rifle, as well as a bazooka.
The bazookas’ model was partially inspired by a classmate who answered my questionnaire and asked for a panzerschreck. As the bazooka is used to deal with tanks and armored fortifications in the animation, and the panzerschreck is a german anti-tank weapon, I believed that it would be great, however it would need to be more futuristic, as the animation is based in the year 2035.
I got to work creating the bazooka model. I started with a cube and gradually built onto it, creating the long shape and adding detail. I put a ‘shield’ on the side where the troop’s face would be, and added a hole so that they could see through. I also added ‘lights’ onto it so that they could ‘lock on’ and fire at a target.
After creating the bazooka, I needed an assault rifle. My design combined the AK-47 and SCAR-L into one weapon that I called the DG-6. I started off with the main body of the gun, and added onto it to create the final product. The barrel design is from the AK-47, as well as the stock and magazine being slanted. The magazine shape, body and actual stock were from the SCAR-L. I created two DG-6s; one for the Resistance and one for the EX, with respective colourings.
After creating these models, I moved on to creating the model for the bomber that would destroy the barricades in my animation. I firstly created a low poly model.
After this, I used the bevel tool once again to add more detail to the model. Then I textured it with the right colourings, and the bomber was completed.
I then got to work creating the defenses that the Resistance would have to fight through. The first was a machine gun tower. I started with low poly cylinders that were hexagonal shaped. I then moved and modeled them into the right shape, and my low poly MG tower was completed.
I then used my old friend, the bevel tool, to add more detail easily, and the higher poly model was completed.
I then textured the tower to match the EX troops/tank, and the tower was completed.
I moved on to the anti-air tower, which followed the same design steps as the MG tower. I started with the low poly model, then beveled it and finally textured it to get this:
Once these were done, I got to work creating the final few models. I created shipping crates that would be in the depot, made from cubes with ridges along the outside. I made a blue, green and orange model. I also created the barricades, and would use them for the concrete walls that troops would use as cover. Finally, I created a crane that would be positioned in the depot.
Now with all my models I made, I got to work creating the scenes. The first scene I created was the battle scene. I started with a flat plane that was 20 x 20 faces, and raised the faces to create the hills/mountains.
After this, I used the smooth tool to make the ridges and features smoother, and adjusted them slightly to create the higher poly model of the scene.
Once this was done, I got to work filling the scene with the models I had made above. I positioned the towers in the right places, added some buildings made from barricade models, and filled the depot with supply crates and two cranes.
I then realized that I needed trees for the environment, and so I got to work making it. I started off with a low poly sphere and added smaller spheres to create the leaves of the tree. I then got a hexagonal cylinder and created the trunk of the tree, as well as branches that had leaves on them.
With the low poly model created, I beveled it and had the higher poly model done. I then textured it and had my tree completed.
With this tree model done, I imported it into my battle scene and placed them around to create the treeline along the area. I reduced the trees down by 50% to reduce the amount of polygons in the scene.
I then imported the troops in and placed them around, and with a few tweaks, the scene was set up and ready to animate.
The office scene was up next, and it was far simpler. I created the floor, walls and roof. I textured them and added some decorations to the room, such as banners of the EX logo. I then imported the characters needed, and the scene was completed.
The final scene needed was the intro scene, in which it would show of a resistance base. I created the environment, and then added buildings, defenses and some tanks.
I began animating and animated some intro shots for the battle scene. This took up the first 1300 frames of the animation, totalling to roughly a minute.
Once this was done, I animated the first part of the battle scene. The resistance troops moved up and destroyed the MG towers, then destroyed the troops and finally the AA tower.
I then got to work with the second battle scene, and had the resistance troops split up, and then go their designated ways. Uvwe’s team headed left and destroyed the mg towers, killed the troops, then pushed up and eliminated the aa tower.
Once this was done, I begun animating the third and final part of the battle scene. I had the bombers fly in and destroy the barricades, and then the resistance troops headed in and destroyed the depot.
After this, the battle scenes were completed. I rendered each part and got to work with the office scenes.
The office scenes were easier to animate, as they only required a few people talking. I got done with the scenes far quicker, and rendered them as well.
Finally, I animated the intro scene. I had the tanks move around inside the base, and then the camera would show a birds eye view before the area faded to fog. I rendered the scene, and I had all the video files needed for editing.
I imported my videos into the video editor, and begun the editing process. I decided to edit each scene separately, and then combine them all in a different file. The intro was easy and only required a bit of editing and audio, and some subtitles. I got this done quickly, and rendered the video.
The first part of the battle scene was my next step. I imported the necessary sound effects, music and voice acting as well as the video files and got to it. I split up clips, inserted sounds, made transitions and after a while, the video was ready. I added some subtitles once everything was in place, and rendered the video.
I then moved on to the second part of the battle scene, and added in the sound effects, music etc. I then added subtitles once everything else was done, and yet again rendered the video.
For the third/final part, I done the same thing as previously… I edited it to greatness with sound effects and music, voice acting and effects. I then added th subtitles needed then rendered the video.
I then got to work with the office scenes. These all didn’t require many, if any, sound effects. I only needed to add music and voice acting, make some flashy transitions, and add subtitles to them. The third office scene came after the credits, and so I put the credit music with it and edited it so that it would end at the end of the music.
Finally, I imported all of these into the final file, edited them slightly, and rendered the final product. I watched it to see if there were any bits that needed fixing, and once I was happy, the animation was deemed to be completed…
The final piece that I made was a trailer for my animation. I grabbed the videos that I used previously and got some trailer music, then begun animating. I cut down the clips to fit with the music, added some effects, and then watched it over and rendered it.
